Parliamentary committee recommend banning online gambling
The Parliamentary Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports has recommended taking necessary measures in consultation with concerned ministries and BTRC to stop online gambling using various websites.
The press release of the Parliament Secretariat informed that this recommendation was made in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports held at the Parliament Building on Sunday (July 24).
Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Chairman of the committee presided over the meeting which was attended by the committee members: the State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell, Abdus Salam Murshedi, Jewel Areng and Zakia Tabassum.
The meeting recommended taking necessary steps to link the Bangladesh Deaf Cricket Council with the International Cricket Council. It is recommended to take necessary steps to return international matches to Khulna Cricket Stadium as soon as possible and to keep all stadiums in the country open to sports. Besides, it is recommended to organize tournaments at grass root level to further increase the standard of badminton.
